Activity holidays in Provence

Here’s a small selection of the activities you can get involved in when staying at the Ajoucadou apartments. We are happy to help organise all of the activities listed below. Just use the booking form on this website to let us know what interests you.

Tennis

Lourmarin has three tennis courts which can be hired on an hourly basis for a small fee. The courts overlook the village and are an idyllic place for a game. The club has a welcoming ambiance. Lessons are available with the local pro, a former coach on the ATP tour. We can provide rackets should you not wish to travel with your own.

Wine Tasting

We are happy to organise personalised wine tours for you. Jamie, the manager of the Ajoucadou apartments has written three books about Provencal wine, and offers day tours of the local Luberon vineyards.

Golf

Lourmarin, where the Ajoucadou apartments are based, is an easy drive from 4 challenging golf courses. The nearest course, Pont Royal, a twenty minute drive away was designed by Seve Ballesteros, and is used for a Challenge Tour event. In picturesque Les Baux de Provence, a major new 18 hole development has just been completed at Domaine Manville. Just along the road from the antique shops of L’Isle Sur La Sorgue, is the Provence Country Club, a well established 18 hole course. Finally a scenic drive away towards Manosque is the Golf du Luberon. The course is mature and undulating, with views of the snow capped Alps in the distance.

We can organise tee off times, and club hire.

French lessons

If you are interested in a either an immersive week of learning French, or just some lessons to brush-up your language skills, let us know and we will put together a course with a local teacher.

Painting

If you are a keen artist, and would like a masterclass with one of the many professional artists resident in Lourmarin, please let us know.

Children’s activities

During the summer there are plenty of activities for children to get involved including, tennis, horse riding and kayaking. There is even a local circus school where children can learn to walk the tight rope and ride a monocycle. Most activities for children run between 10am and 12 am in the holiday months.
